Mar 04, 2026"Review: Sate Bawah Pohon – Jl. Dewi Sri I, Badung, Bali Disclaimer: Non-Halal Food One of the most legendary pork satay spots in Bali, Sate Bawah Pohon, has finally moved from its old location at the Trisakti Kuta parking lot to a more proper and comfortable place on Jl. Dewi Sri IV Badung. The new location feels completely different – way better! Spacious parking, large dining area – overall a big upgrade. Now you can enjoy your food without worrying about the rain or heat. They now use a pay-first system at the counter, and the menu has expanded a lot compared to the old stall days. Some of the highlights include: Pork Fried Rice Betutu Chicken Rice Sweet Soy Pork Crispy Pork Rice Sam-Sam Guling Rice Babi Guling Rice Sate Lilit …and more! The dining area is very roomy with plenty of basic wooden tables and benches, enough to fit lots of customers. As for the pork satay? Still tastes as good as ever – sweet, tender, and slightly savory. Their babi guling rice is okay – nothing special, but decent. Service is quite fast and friendly, but be warned: avoid peak meal times or you’ll be waiting in a long queue. Sate Babi Bawah Pohon is definitely a must-try culinary spot for pork lovers visiting Bali. Highly recommended!"
